Today, I'm sharing this full post over on Mood Sewciety. Mood Sewciety has merged with Mood Sewing Network. All of the old posts will still be on MSN, but going forward, we're all one big happy unit now.
This is McCall's 7953, wrap jumpsuit. I made lots of alterations to this.
This is McCall's 7953, wrap jumpsuit. I made lots of alterations to this.
- Cut a 14 bodice and 16 pants
- 1" FBA
- Added 1" to the length of the bodice
- Made a 1" swayback adjustment
- Made a 1.5" full seat adjustment
- Added 3" to the length of the pants and the right side overlay
Changed out the ties at the waist for a buckled belt that went all the way around to give definition at the waist.

DeleteThis outfit did not look as good on the pattern. I like it now. You know you have sewing skills, woman! Once I get fit down, I want to figure out how to modify patterns . You made a muslin, didn't you?
ReplyDeleteI NEVER make muslins. I always just make my normal fit adjustments and fit as I go. Thank you!

ReplyDeletesitting on my bench. I would love to get started but a bit nervous as I think I'll need to increase the bodice length by a few inches. may I ask where you made your length adjustment for the bodice. it's a bit complicated with the tucks on the side
