My Threads Article - "Sharpen Your Pencil Skirt"

My very first Threads Magazine article was published in the June/July 2017 issue. If you're an Insider or subscriber, you can read the full article here: Sharpen Your Pencil Skirt.
It was a great experience. I love the way my editor at Threads challenged me to pull my writing and technical skills together. I felt like I was back in English class! I wanted to focus on a garment that most women sew and wear. And I wanted to cover fitting tips for most sizes.

It's currently on newsstands and if you read it, I hope you find it informative.

    Wow - was I excited to read your article in Threads! I've been a subscriber since it was first published in 1985, I believe. It was especially fun to see your article and say, "I follow her blog" like I know you personally. The internet sewing community makes you feel like you have a real connection with the bloggers.     I read your article and thought it was excellent and very informative indeed. I especially like how you addressed issues concerning different figure types. Even the illustrations were diverse. Way to go! Congratulations!
