What I'm Wearing: Weekend Wear | The Open-back Shirt!
12:00 AM
Do you ever forget about clothes in your closet? I do, all of the time. That's why every season, I shuffle my closet. I move the previous season's wardrobe further away and the current season forward. And in doing so a few weeks ago, I rediscovered this top!
This is McCall's 6702 and it's still available!
I love the easy-breeziness of the linen. And the open-back is what originally sold me on this look. I mean, I have plenty of shirt patterns. But this one had that little bit of extra "something-ness" and I had to have it.
It pairs so well with everything, especially a pair of chino Old Navy shorts that I live in during the summer. I have these shorts in almost every color! Which reminds me, I need a new white pair (for $15, I'll buy instead of making)!
And it was cool and comfortable especially for playing in the park!
Isabella is 2 1/2 now. And she's so big and so smart!

I was re-reading my own blog and found that I had mentioned a pair of black sandals last summer. I had no recollection of the things and went digging through my closet to find them. I probably would have purchased an identical pair!
ReplyDeleteAs for shoes, I love Isabella's silver ones she is wearing. Future fashionista?
It's like finding something brand new! And yes, Isabella is a little diva!
DeleteGreat top. Love the open back feature. You wouldn't guess it from the front but it adds a little special something to the top.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, that's exactly what I love about it! Thanks!
DeleteThanks for the reminder about this pattern, I have some fabric that will perfect for it. I too have to rotate closets, a hassle at times but helps me remember what I have and eliminate what I don't wear. Isabella is so cute and getting so grown up.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great weekend outfit! I love the style of the shirt. Yes, I forget about things that I made. I found a few treasures in a recent closet cleaning.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rose!
