...and after a storm, there's calm.
This is such a happy dress! The spectrum of colors remind me of the rainbow. And how apropos on a day that was gloomy with rain and storm clouds.
This day was like life is at times: full of gloom and cloudiness. And yes, sometimes there are storms. But the storms do pass. And out comes the sun and the rainbow, signifying a better future and a hopeful tomorrow. It's been raining a lot here, and almost everytime I spot a rainbow. It's a constant reminder of something awesome is coming my way!

Beautiful...so carefree. You are also looking fabulous BTW. I know this is your sewing blog but since lots of us follow you on IG & have seen your hard work at the gym...care to share your workout regimen??! Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteThanks blacklabelblog! I'll blog about it later this week!
DeleteI echo this comment. Your IG is very inspiring and I'd love to know how you are working your arms (they are amazing!)

ReplyDeleteWowza, Erica! This is a knockout dress. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteLove that dress! That's the beauty of sewing, being able to affect your mood with fabric!
ReplyDeleteYes! It transcends! Thanks Norie!
DeleteWow! This is so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ginger!
DeleteBeautiful! You look lovely! And wow, I normally pooh-pooh such simple patterns but you've convinced me to give this one a whirl.
ReplyDeleteI love details. But sometimes, it's all about the fabric! Thanks makingtheflame!
DeleteErika I really like this dress, and I think might sew it myself. Do you think it would make up nicely out of gauze?
ReplyDeleteAlicia, I think it would look amazing in gauze! This design would sew up fabulously in that crinkly texture. Thanks!
DeleteFantastic looking dress, Erica!
