The LWD | White Dresses for Spring!
1:00 PM
Even though I'm a firm believer in wearing white all-year-round, nothing signifies spring like a LWD! A milky-hued frock is the perfect blank canvas. You can take an optic white dress and accessorize it with any color or multiple colors! Or you can add neutrals, metallics and animal prints.
These are two of my favorite white dresses: Vogue 1029 and Vogue 1087. Both made in ponte knits. This year, I've decided that I want a crisp, white shirtdress for spring. And probably a sundress in a white crepe de chine for summer.
Are YOU planning a little white dress for this season?

ReplyDeleteGood for you Carol, being able to take some time for yourself!

DeleteThat first dress is gorgeous, and I love the yellow accents!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherita!
DeleteLike you I wasn't a fan of the MK dress when it was first issued, I think the back ruching put me off - but of course now I want it! You look great in white, look forward to seeing your 2013 creation.
ReplyDeleteAllisonC, I can't tell you how much I disliked this pattern when it was first issued. And then one day I looked at it with fresh eyes and was in love!
DeleteI love it!!!!!...I've never used a Vogue pattern but I see them in the near future....;)
ReplyDeleteThanks! You should start with the easy ones first. They're not that difficult.
DeleteI love wearing white. For the past few years I have wore a lot of white clothing during the spring and summer seasons. I even got some white nail polish :) I guess you could say I am channeling my inner LisaRaye Fashionista, lol
ReplyDeleteTia, I understand why. White is so crisp and clean. I want a white polish too.
DeleteWhite looks beautiful on you. Your good if you can keep it spill and stain proof for longer than 5 minutes :)
ReplyDeleteIt‘s always a challenge! Thanks Nikki!
DeleteLoving those dresses (especially the first one)! I wish I didn't have a built in dirt magnet while wearing white. That combo with the yellow accessories is beautiful!
ReplyDeletep.s. I think someone absolutely fabulous who's name begins with an E and ends with an A should do a teensie weensie tutorial on her white shirtdress when she creates it...I'm just sayin'...it's on my list too. :)
Ha ha! We'll see! Thanks Divamazon!
DeleteWow!! Those dresses look gorgeous on you! love it!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute E. Love it dear.
ReplyDeleteThanks Natasha!
DeleteYour white dresses are fantastic. I am considering a white eyelet sundress, although I still have little ones with sticky fingers wrapped around my legs, sometimes.
ReplyDeleteHoney, I have my 16 month old granddaughter with me everyday. Keep babywipes close by! Thanks!
DeleteLove, love 1087. Where do you find the ponte knits.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Both of these happened to come from Hancock Fabrics.
DeleteThanks Sing!
