New patterns...
3:35 PMMcCall's just released their holiday patterns. But is this one Holiday or Halloween?
Because when I saw it, this was my first thought:
This is what happens when a trend trickles down to the mainstream and goes too far. McCall's, who thought this was okay?
Between this and the patterns that Simplicity just released, I'll be pulling old patterns from my filing cabinet for a while.
Please Vogue Patterns, release something fabulous for the holidays!

ReplyDeleteGood grief thats awfull!Im finding myself looking at 40's and 50's vintage patterns more and more.

ReplyDeleteThings that make ya go Hmmmm!!! ROFL :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, jester costume was my first though (well, jester dressed as candy corn!) I was not impressed with the new McCall's.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way. I saw some really ridiculous patterns in their release. Not only that, but the fabrics they chose are horrendous. They're trying to sell them right?! Looking forward to Butterick and Vogue releases.
ReplyDeleteClarissa, that's something that really bothers me... the fabric. You'd think they'd have access to a better selection.
ReplyDeleteSame thought here. Maybe it's an inside joke...McCall's designers decided to put something out as "fashion forward" just to see how many would buy the pattern.
ReplyDeleteWhat about just plain hideous?
