Review: McCall's 6362 | Mariner Striped Romper!

11:00 PM

I hope everyone had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend!  We did!  On Saturday while checking out the patterns that were on sale, Mikaela saw this romper/jumpsuit pattern and asked me to make it for her.
View A was perfect for her!  She picked the same fabric that I used for my dress.  I cut the size XS - size 4, and it fit her straight out of the envelope.
We decided to add an exposed zipper as a fun little detail.
Here's the close-up.
I started to omit the sash, but after it was finished it looked like it needed something at the waist.  So I went ahead and made it too.
This is such a cute and easy summer piece.  I may make her another one because she really loves this!
silly girl!

Wearing: romper: McCall's 6362; shoes: Toms Glitter Slip-ons; jewelry: Forever 21 and Tiffany & Co.

  11. Really cute! I am making my second one for myself. It's a great simple but cute pattern. I like the exposed zipper idea. I think on number two I will use that idea! She looks great - kids always seam to get older yet I don't age at all! (LOL!!)

  19. This is super cute and I love the zipper! Do you have an online source where you get your metal zips? I imagine it needs to be super light weight to work with a knit fabric so a metal jacket zip wouldn't quite do the job.

  20. strangertobluewater, I used this kind of zipper and I buy them at Joann's and Hancock Fabrics.
