Well, it's not "cold" cold, but it is chilly and windy. It's currently 60 degrees and only a high of 66 today. I have no idea what I'm wearing. BUT, I am being inspired to make colorful spring blazers for times when chilly weather creeps its way back in amongst my sunny spring days. When traveling I find it helps to keep a variety of clothing. Obviously you don’t want to be lugging your garments everywhere. Luck for us, Radical Storage has secure depots dotted around, even in beautiful Rome!
Last evening, this is what I wore out:
I usually ONLY wear this jacket during the fall, but I decided that it should also be a great essential in my spring wardrobe as well.
The details of the sleeve with my vintage Chanel bag really capture the spirit of the look I was going for. And I'm really glad that I was wearing such a classic colored polish:
It's been a few years since I've made this jacket. For you long time readers, I'm sure you remember this "labor of love" project... it took 2 weeks to make.
I'm so glad that invested a great amount of time, skill and pride into this project. I can see myself wearing it for many more years to come.
Wearing: denim shirt: DKNY; optic white jeans: NYDJ; purse: vintage Chanel bucket bag; wedges: Jessica Simpson.
Very beautiful... I remember this lovely jacket, great quality and details always pay off
ReplyDeleteThanks Aminat! This will always be one of my all time favorite projects!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit and its 59 in NJ today with flooding rains - nasty nasty day. A good day to stay in and sew!
ReplyDeleteI live for nasty days that I can stay in and sew! Thanks Joen!
ReplyDeleteYour jacket looks as great as when you first made it. I really liked the way you styled it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Faye!
ReplyDeleteAnother great outfit that shows exactly why it's good to have some classic, made to last items in our wardrobes even if they are a labour of love to make!
ReplyDeleteThis is true Allison! Thanks!
DeleteLovely ensemble! I love your jacket paired with the white jeans.
ReplyDeleteThanks Levone!
