Here is my second pair of leggings from McCall's 6404. This time I used view D.
I love the seaming detail. It's what set this version apart from the other. It's topstitched 1/4" from the seam edge.
I haven't actually measured, but the leg opening seem smaller on this version than the other pair I made.
And I also love the trendy aspect of the zippered opening being on the inseam instead of the outside.
Worn with a black turtleneck sweater, a fur gilet and ankle booties.
I can tell you right now this will be a favorite piece for this winter! I'll be wearing these plenty of times!
Holy Cow! Hot...or what!!!! That whole outfit is way sexy :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Nadine!

ReplyDeletelove the leggings! you certainly find nice fabric at Jo-anns, I'll have to start shopping there as well.
ReplyDeleteI actually purchased it from Hancock. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou look cool in anything. I would look horrendous in them. Am only pint size with a little too much meat going on. Go Girrrrl.
ReplyDeleteOne word.... Fierce.
ReplyDeleteLove those leggings! Girl, you are working them!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with all...I'm lov'n this look! Thanks to you I'm breaking my rule and headed to somebody's fabric store to buy faux leather and that pattern. This must be a sign,my sewing student just showed me this pattern two days ago, LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it. I'm definitely going to be looking for this fabric the next time I head to Hancocks.
ReplyDeleteWow looking hot! The leggings are fab, love the zip detailing! x
ReplyDeleteYes! So bold and chic. I've been wanting leather pants for a year now and so inspired to see someone make them!
ReplyDeleteWell done Erica B! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. I love your clothes. You rock!
ReplyDeleteAwesome job! They look really great on you. Gotta make a pair of those to show off my natural enhancements too.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Five kinds of hotness lady. I absolutely LOVE those leggings! You are working the whole ensemble.
ReplyDeleteHotness! Love this!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteI would NEVER have thought that a fur vest and leather leggings would make anyone look slimmer, but the combination is SO flattering! I bought this pattern because I saw the leggings on you and thought "now, I could wear that, that looks pretty good!" Not sure I can pull off leather but am trying them in ponteroma this weekend!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with yours!
ReplyDeleteI just got that pattern a few days ago (gotta love a 99 cent pattern sale at JoAnn). I can't wait to make them!
ReplyDeleteHave fun making yours Jane!
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I have been saving a swatch of faux leather for the same type of pants. I only wish it were cold enough to wear something like these here in Maui. They would be perfect for a trip to the mainland though, if I can ever get off this rock, haha. Love your version and I agree, the zip on the inseam is an unexpected unique detail. Nice!
ReplyDeleteThese are a knockout! You look amazing.
ReplyDeleteSo FLY! I have an older McCall's legging pattern that I want to try. You are always pushing the envelope - love it!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! I have yet to show off my leggings (or should I say pants, because I altered them for a slightly wider fit) made from this pattern!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see yours!
