This is one of my favorite Fall RTW pieces that I've purchased this season.
It's a chunky knit belted cocoon cardigan from BCBG Max Azria. It's warm enough to wear as a coat on moderately cool days.
I layered my cardigan over my Butterick 5526 white shirt that I made last Fall. And my recently sewn McCall's 6404 black skinny pants/leggings that I can't get enough of! Seriously, I need to make another version (or 2) of those pants.
And I added in a pair of gray Guess boots that were gifted to me from my son last year. It was a beautiful day to be outside enjoying the gorgeous weather!
That is really cute -- thanks for posting it.

Thanks Beth!
ReplyDeleteLove this new posting format. You have an awesome style!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeletelove that sweater! I'm working on knitting a cacoon sweater/shrug for myself. It's taking forever, but I'll get there eventually!
ReplyDeleteAnd those skinnies are very nice too. :)
I'm the world's slowest knitter. It would have taken me until Spring to finish a sweater like this. And the fact that I'm ADD doesn't help. Thanks Maggie B.!
ReplyDeleteLovely! You are so talented with your sewing. I have not sewn clothes for myself in awhile. You are inspiring me to do so. Soon I hope. I have fabric and patterns waiting for me to use. I just have to get to it!

You and the whole outfit is "Looking Good"!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the Pattern numbers with us!!!
Appreciate this and your blog!!!
Thanks Neabear and Amy W!
ReplyDeleteLove your cardi, fits you perfectly! I need to make myself some nice button ups as they're impossible to find that fit me right!
ReplyDeleteAlso loving your booties, what a great gift from your son!
I need to make another white shirt. I just realized I don't have a "plain" white one. Yes, the boots were a great gift from a great young man!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bri!
Great combo!!! Grey is becoming one of my favorite colors.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a great neutral! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I like your style and the way to present it.

I feel sad now, I had a grey belted cardigan that I loved and last year I accidentally put it in the drier and it came out doll sized! Must find a replacement!
ReplyDeleteThanks Katja!
ReplyDeleteAllison, unfortunately I've had sweaters that met the same fate.
ReplyDeleteNice outfits. It's been a while since I was able to visit. Love your "What I'm Wearing" posts. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great cardigan. I love those chunky knits, especially when they are well made with the softest woolens. You look great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ladies!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit. You look chic and comfortable!
ReplyDeleteThanks Teddi!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit! Thanks for sharing these looks...maybe it will motivate me to work a little harder when getting dressed for work. :-)
ReplyDeleteI figure you have to get dressed anyway. Might as well put a little extra thought into it! ;-) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteFantastic!
ReplyDeleteI have a few blouses that I'd like to sew...but I keep putting it off because for some reason I'm stuck in the "must sew something fast" rut...and by fast I mean very fast...so button holes and hand sewing are not an option. When did I get so lazy?

I too am in a sew something fast mood. I figure it's going to be cold and ugly outside soon enough. I'll hibernate and do slow sewing then. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Love that cardigan :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa!
