McCall's 6400 - Off-the-shoulder Top Online - No Degree of Difficulty
6:00 PM
McCall's 6400, view B is one of the easiest and QUICKEST tops I've ever made! Front and back, from the same pattern piece and BOOM! You're done! I cut the extra large because I wanted a lot of drape and "off-the-shoulderness".
The brown top which I wore for date night is made in a rayon/spandex that I picked up from Jo-Anns. And the gray top that I wore the next day for lunch is in a cotton/blend t-shirt knit that I found at Hancock.
I highly recommend this top for anyone who wants to add cute, quick and trendy pieces to their wardrobe. You won't feel like you need an online degree to make or style this piece!

Cute! Much, much cuter than the pattern envelope. Which version did you make? B?
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute!! Love Love Love the grey version!
ReplyDeleteOooh I like it! Much better than the envelope. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for pointing out such a cute pattern. Your grey boots are great too.
ReplyDeleteHot, hot, hot! I really love the picture of you in the brown.
ReplyDeleteSupper Cute.... I will be adding that shirt to my collection.....
ReplyDeleteI love both of the tops, but that brown is smokin' hawt!
ReplyDeleteLooks great on you Erica! I love this pattern and have made it several times. The cut is very flattering.
ReplyDeleteLooks a bit like mine I posted recently... it is this one.
ReplyDeleteRight now I am digitzing the pattern. Tomorrow I might be able to upload it at Burda Style or on my blog. I will be only in my size, but it will be for free!
Erica, I love all your creations and I am following your blog with interest! :-)
Nice! Both tops are sassy!
ReplyDeleteCute tops! I have to ask, do the asymmetrical sleeves bug you when you are wearing it? That's what is holding me back from making it.
ReplyDeleteThe don't bother me at all. That's not to say they won't bother you. Go to a store and try on something similar before you sew.
ReplyDeleteI love these kind of shirts. I could have a hundred and still be happy... they're so easy. Killer suede boots, too! It's hard to find that wearable heel right now.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking tops! Love the entire look with each version.
ReplyDeleteThat top would work with all figure types because the shoulders never look fat, wrinkled or baggy. That's one part of the body that gravity doesn't change much.
