A Birthday Shoutout to Mikaela and Simplicity 2714!
2:00 PMToday is my little sweetie's 12th birthday! Of course I had to make her a fab dress in honor of the occasion!
Project Details:Pattern: Simplicity 2714
Pattern Description: Girls' dresses or tunics with sleeve and skirts variations. I made the one with the bubble hem.
Pattern Sizing: 8 - 16, I cut the size 10.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, it does!
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were very easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love this pattern and most of all, so did she! What really drew our attention to this pattern was the flower detail.
Fabric Used: I used matte jersey.
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: I added about 3 1/2" to the hem. Also, I only lined the bodice and added elastic to the hemline.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Even though it was fun to sew and she absolutely loves this, I doubt I'll make it again. I recommend this to anyone that has a trendy and stylish young lady in their life.
